Champion Don retires from Midlands region

Those of you who, knew and worked with Don, our Champion Midland Sales Manager, might also know that he is about to move on and enjoy the next chapter in his life.

Don has been with us and served many of you for more than ten years now.

All who know him describe Don as a loyal, dedicated and an overwhelmingly honourable member of the Summit team.

I hope I speak for all of you when I say Don has been a “Thoroughly Decent Chap” to know & work with….. A Gentleman through & through.

Don, we all truly & personally thank you for your commitment. You will be sorely missed and we wish you and all your loved ones a long, happy and healthy retirement.

And to close off for this week, can I also just reassure you that it’s business as usual as the ‘new man’ Chris Harwood will be taking the reins and no doubt, he’ll be in touch soon.

Two new ranges and a pricelist

You may have seen in our new Price list and Specification guide 2 brand new ranges:

  • Graphic, a new sofa range with solid beech frames, sprung seats and matching upholstered benches.
  • Tryo, a multi coloured visitor chair with a chrome skid frame or 4 legged frame with or without arms.

These ranges will appear in the next two brochure releases, the Premium Collection and the Essential Collection. And there is more come on these soon.

You may have heard about the impending launch of our new retail price list and specification guide as a standalone book. This is now available – and has been well worth the wait!

Seasons Greeting and Year End Update

As the year draws to a close we would like to wish you a merry Christmas break and express our thanks to you all for your continued support through what has been yet another challenging period.

Again, rather than send out Christmas cards we have made a donation to our local Dorothy House Hospice and also donated a number of new chairs for their administration personnel.

The first significant event from Summit in the early part of January will be the arrival of our our brand new, fully illustrated Retail Price List and Specification Guide. We know this is a long time overdue for which we must apologize! But we are sure that the new guide will prove to be well worth the wait!

The new guide, as well as being fully illustrated includes for the first time all of our 3 brand new product collections and a couple of brand new ranges. Graphic, a new sofa range and Tryo, a multi coloured visitor chair range. These ranges will then appear in the next two brochure releases, the Premium Collection and the Essential Collection.

The Retail Price List and Specification Guide has been reformatted to work as a standalone book from which you can sell our entire range of products. We’ve even given it more pages so that we could significantly enlarge the text and imagery.

A new website is on the way as well and we hope that together, these two tools will be of great benefit to you!!

New collections on the way from Summit

You may have noticed a lack of ‘storefront’ activity at Summit recently. The good news is that we’ve been busy preparing for another Summit launch – the new Optimum seating collection: 

“Following the introduction of our new Summit branding and style on the Eeso, Cyrus, Exquisit and Piano mini brochures late last year we are now pushing ahead with the next stage of the marketing strategy designed to help your sales people sell more Summit chairs. 

Over the next few months all of our product ranges will be presented in three new collections. Whilst each collection has a distinctly different position in the marketplace they will all share a common visual style. The first of these to arrive will be our Optimum Collection. This brochure takes the SC Seating products, together with some great new additions and presents them beautifully whilst still maintaining the SC Seating ethos of great value for money.

Complimenting the three new collection brochures there will be a new Retail Price List and Specification Guide. This will include pricing for the Optimum Collection. We believe this move from the old SC Seating trade price list will make life easier for all concerned.

What did you think of the winning Apprentice business plan?

If you saw The Apprentice final on Sunday, you will know that Tom Pellereau won. And his business idea was to produce a chair to reduce back pain in office workers. Lord Sugar was skeptical about the business plan as a whole, however we are sure your customers will have identified with the issues Tom raised and will be interested in a back care chair.

The good news is that you don’t need to wait for Tom to help prevent back pain in your customers! The Summit Posturemax range does this already. What’s more it’s available now…
